Peanut Butter Krispies Easter Eggs
Finally I got a chance to share this easy recipe for making Peanut Butter Krispies Easter Eggs. The best part is there is a surprise in the middle. I used the plastic eggs they use for hiding treats in for the mold. Then I made Peanut Butter Krispies and filled the eggs with them and before closing them added a Reese’s Peanut Butter cup.
To fill the eggs I used a large tablespoon of the rice krispy mixture and put a slight indent in the top. Then filled the top with a tablespoon of the rice krispy mixture pressing it in lightly. Add the Reese’s Mini Peanut Butter Cup. Leave a little extra of the rice krispies around the candy. Press the two halves together, it should be a little tight. This will finish packing the krispies mix in the egg. Let set for a few minutes and unmold egg.
The eggs I used were the smaller ones I could find at Walmart. They had 2 sizes. These were under $1.00 for a dozen eggs.
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 bag marshmallows
- ½ cup peanut butter
- 6 cups rice krispies
- Reese's mini peanut butter cups
- Melt the butter in a large pan.
- Add the marshmallows and melt them. Stir them almost continuously.
- When melted stir in the peanut butter.
- Add rice krispies.
