Strawberry Cheesecake Parfait

Strawberry Cheesecake Parfait

I don’t know about you but for me Pot Pies are the ultimate comfort food. I love the convenience of being able to keep a couple in the freezer for those nights when I just don’t feel like cooking. Even as much as I enjoy cooking sometimes I need a break.

Marie Callender’s has so many amazing flavors of pot pies, you can have a different one every day if you wanted to.  I tried the Chicken Corn Chowder Pot Pie tonight and really enjoyed it! Marie Callender’s also has a Creamy Parmesan Chicken Pot Pie, Creamy Mushroom Chicken Pot Pie, Cheesy Chicken and Bacon along with the Chicken, Turkey and Beef we are all used to having. There is something for everyone in the family will love! The turkey might just be my favorite because I love the big pieces of the turkey breast in it with all of the delicious vegetables and gravy. Be sure to visit the Marie Callender’s website for more great recipes!

Chicken Pot Pie

Here’s a peek of the Chicken Corn Chowder Pot Pie. Isn’t that a beautiful crust? It was so good and tasted just eating a bowl of chowder, only better. It has a homemade gravy mixed with vegetables and all white-meat chicken, in a golden, perfectly flaky crust that’s made from scratch. Every Marie Callender’s pot pie shares and delivers the true sense of homemade.

Marie Callender's

When you go to your grocery store you can find Marie Callender’s Pot Pies in the freezer section. Some variety’s are also available in a family pack. I went to Wal-Mart and was pleased with the selection of Marie Callender’s Pot Pies available. The varieties do vary from store to store.

The pots pies can also be microwaved if you are in a hurry. They come inside a box you can use in the microwave that allows the crust to crisp up which is pretty cool! If I am just making one for me I usually microwave it. When I’m doing it for several people I bake them in my oven.

If you know someone who lives alone or maybe doesn’t cook anymore, try leaving a few of these Marie Callender’s pot pies in their freezer. It is a perfect way to make sure someone is getting a nutritious homemade tasting meal for a very reasonable price. It is perfect for senior citizens, I’ve even gotten my dad to try them. He loves his pot pies and would drive about 10 miles to get one at a chain restaurant until I convinced him to try these. They now are a staple in his freezer.

Strawberry Cheesecake Parfait

So what to serve with your pot pie so that it is more like a complete meal? I decided to make a Strawberry Cheesecake Parfait for dessert. It can be made in minutes and sure to become a family favorite when you need a quick and easy dessert. You could also use peaches, blueberries or any other fruit you like or in season.

I love keeping a couple in my freezer for the nights I do not want to cook, because like you, even though I love to, it is not something i want to have to do every single night! The parfait looks dreamy.
