Cinnamon Roll Pizza

Pizza with a cinnamon topping and creamy glaze
  • Pizza Dough
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 package yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • Cinnamon Sugar Topping
  • 1/2 cup butter, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal - old fashioned or quick
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 teaspoons cinnamon
  • Glaze:
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups confectioners sugar
  • 1/3 cup milk - just enough to make a drizzle
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  1. Add the yeast to a small dish with some of the water and a tablespoon of the sugar. Let set about 5 minutes until bubbly.
  2. Add the flour, remaining sugar and salt to a food processor or standing mixer. Add the yeast, oil and remaining water to the bowl. Add the flour and continue to beat or stir the flour in.
  3. Process until it comes to a ball in the food processor and let it run for 2 minutes. If using a stand mixer beat with a dough hook until mixed. Then continue to mix for about 5 minutes.
  4. Cover and let raise until doubled. Can be made ahead and put in the refrigerator. Spread out on a greased 12 inch greased pizza pan when ready to make the pizza.
  5. Mix together the topping ingredients in a bowl. Spread over the dough. Bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes before adding glaze.
  6. Mix the glaze together in a small bowl. Drizzle over the topping.
