Spaghetti with Meat Sauce

Our new favorite spaghetti sauce. Love the added Italian sausage.
  • 1 lb. ground sirloin
  • 2 links Italian Sausage
  • 2 28 oz. cans crushed tomatoes (I used Cento)
  • 1 can water
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped onion
  • 1 cup diced sweet peppers
  • 2 tablespoons dried basil
  • 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • salt
  1. Brown the ground sirloin. Pour off any grease. Cut the sausage into 1/2 inch pieces. Add to ground beef and brown.
  2. Add the onions, green pepper and cook until the onions start to turn transparent.
  3. Add all of the remaining ingredients. Cook over medium heat for up to 2 hours. Stir often.
  4. Serve over spaghetti noodles.
