Fry bread is a light, tasty dough that is fried to use as the base for this taco.
Ingredients
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • Oil for frying
Instructions
  1. Mix the baking powder, salt and flour together in the bowl of a food processor.
  2. Add the milk. Pulse on and off until mixture comes together. Let mix together for about a minute. Remove dough from food processor to a bowl. Cover and let sit for at least an hour.
  3. To make fry bread, cut the dough into pieces about the size of a ping pong ball. Roll into a ball. Add some flour to you counter or bread board. Roll out into a 5 inch circle. Roll them out one at a time while the previous one frys in the hot oil. They take about 2 - 3 minutes each to cook. Brown on both sides. Drain on a paper towel.
