How to Seed a Tomato

Have you seen a recipe that calls for Tomato Concassée? Well it is nothing more that a tomato that has been peeled and the seeds removed.

To remove the seeds cut the tomato in half and use a melon baller (or a large spoon) to remove the center of the tomato.

Seeded tomatoes will usually make a thicker sauce and better tasting salsas.
